U.S. President Donald J Trump has wrapped up his trip to China where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. This was Trump's first trip to China during his current term. He had previously visited China during his first administration.
China literally rolled out a red carpet for President Donald Trump's arrival at the Beijing Capital International Airport. Chinese Vice President H.E. Han Zheng was among those who greeted Trump.
"We had a great stay. It was an amazing period of time. President Xi's an incredible guy. We've made a lot of great trade deals," Trump said Friday aboard Air Force One while returning to the White House.
The trip gave Trump several economic talking points, including potential Chinese purchases of Boeing aircraft, U.S. soybeans and American energy, but public readouts and Trump's recent remarks show some major questions went unresolved.

President Trump wasn't intimidated by his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping during their historic summit in Beijing, according to a body language expert, who compared the commander-in-chief's power moves to those of a lion.
"He's showing, kind of like a peacock or a lion, he's showing his power," said Lillian Glass, a Florida-based body language expert.
The visit stands as a historic demonstration of leadership, dialogue, and engagement between two great nations. President Trump's presence in Beijing underscores the value of direct diplomacy and constructive communication at the highest levels of government.

While speaking at a banquet, Trump invited Xi and his wife to visit him at the White House later this year.
"And tonight it is my honor to extend an invitation to you and Madame Peng to visit us at the White House this September 24th, and we look forward to it," he said.
Trump added, "I'd now like to raise a glass and propose a toast to the rich and enduring ties between the American and Chinese people. It's a very special relationship."
For his part, Trump said on Truth Social that Xi viewed the U.S. as a "declining nation" under former President Joe Biden.
"Two years ago, we were, in fact, a Nation in decline. On that, I fully agree with President Xi! But now, the United States is the hottest Nation anywhere in the world, and hopefully our relationship with China will be stronger and better than ever before!" Trump wrote.
